The term “guilty pleasures” is one I would like to leave in 2020. I know there are more important problems in the world at the time, but I really think that people should just like what they like and not fear being looked down for it. For example; the song S.O.S. by ABBA is one of my favorite songs in recent years. ABBA may get a bad rap for being hokey according to some circles, but it’s a damn good song! The Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers Movie (sitting at a cool 5.2/10 on IMDB) is one of my absolute favorite movies despite the plot holes, cringe-worthy dialogue and really bad CGI.
As long as what you like isn’t illegal or immoral, why not like what you like? Living life with little restrictions and labels on your interests will free up your mind and heart to be a lot happier. Again: just as long as it is not illegal or immoral, that’s a big thing with me.
